While we support civic rejuvenation projects, Lib Dems councillors will be opposing this project as it stands.

Furthermore, unsustainable Tory borrowing to fund risky and unwise civic spending has landed local taxpayers with a debt of nearly £200 million. Until we can get the council finances back on track, any spending must be subject to the most severe scrutiny.
